Are Jen’s exes stopping her finding love?

There’s got to be a pretty long list of people who’d like to date Jennifer Aniston. But it seems she isn’t that keen – unless she’s dated them before, that is.
An insider close to the 50-yearold actress tells heat that friends are worried her feelings about previous relationships are stopping her from moving on with her love life. “Jen insists she’s fine being single, and taking her time is all part of the plan with regard to finding Mr Right, versus Mr Right Now,” says our source. “But she’s definitely holding on to feelings for her exes – especially Brad and Justin [Theroux] – and it’s hard to argue it’s not playing a big part in the reason why Jen’s still single.”
As heat has reported, Jen is back in regular contact with Brad Pitt, and she’s still incredibly close to Justin – who she separated from in 2017 – with videos emerging of him sitting next to his ex at her recent “Friendsgiving” dinner party. “She’s been on several dates, but nothing’s really clicked,” we’re told. “She’s refusing to rush into anything and that’s great, but she’s also tying herself in knots, because there’s a big part of her that’d love to reunite with Justin, plus she’s always got Brad in her thoughts. It also doesn’t help that Justin was super-flirty over Thanksgiving. He still has this way of charming her. It’s messed with Jen’s head, and is a big reason why she can’t move on.”
Our source says that Jen’s friends are trying to encourage her to look to the future and date more, with varying results. “They’ve encouraged her to be positive, but there’s a definite worry she’s in danger of living in the past,” we’re told. “Once she realises someone’s a poor man’s Justin or Brad, so to speak, she tends to lose interest. She has extremely high standards and prides herself on the long-term relationships she’s had in the past. The key is to get her out with as many new people as possible, but getting Jen to have anything more than a passing interest in these guys is proving a real challenge, to say the least. She has zero interest in dating someone for the sake of it, and wants her next boyfriend to live up to the same standards as the two big loves of her life.”
