THE JONAS brothers

The pop trio on love and comebacks

-

how does it feel being back together again?

Nick: It’s incredible. We went on a journey when the band split up – I was able to do some great acting projects and make music of my own, Joe did [the band] DNCE, and Kevin got to prioritise family life, which is the most important. This whole thing started by us making a documentary [about the band], and we realised how much we were going to miss spending so much time together and working together – it just clicked. So, we started writing songs, found some we loved, and it’s just been a rocket ship to the moon since then.

Your single Sucker was inspired by your wives, right?

N: Yes. It perfectly embodies the feeling of being hopelessly in love with someone and willing to go to any lengths for them. We feel that way about our wives for sure.

Joe, you married Sophie Turner in Vegas and had an Elvis impersonator. Was it fun?

Joe: We had a lot of last-minute ideas. On the day, we came up with a lot of fun things, like Diplo live-streaming it, which wasn’t planned – but shit happens! Diplo is a friend of ours, we invited him to a party we were having after the Billboard Awards. We rented this penthouse and he started Djing.

With Sophie being in Game Of Thrones, were you ever worried about letting slip a finale spoiler?

J: I’m not happy the show’s over, but at least I can breathe easy that I’m not going to spoil anything.

I didn’t want to be the one to spoil it – which I did, because I tweeted a congrats post.

Kevin, it’s your tenth wedding anniversary this year. What’s the secret to a happy marriage?

Kevin: Communication, hanging out, spending time together and making sure you focus on the needs of others. And have children – don’t be one! n
