MILES AND ALEX TALK US THROUGH THEIR FESTIVE HIGHLIGHTS
What’s your favourite Christmas tipple? A: I love Baileys, but I like drinking it in the summer. When I was in Ibiza, I was drinking it on ice. It’s awesome.
M: For me, it’s Irish coffee – when you cosy up in a nice warm pub, it’s perfect. That sets my Christmas theme, then I’ll go on to mulled wine. What is Christmas Day like for you both?
A: I tend to get up quite late as I love going out the night before. There’s a pub right by where I live in the country and it’s usually rammed on Christmas Eve. I go there and get drunk until early morning and ruin Christmas. Every year.
M: Recently, I’ve been going to the South of France for Christmas, which I don’t particularly like, because off-season it’s quite boring. But this year, I’m bringing my family over to London as a surprise. I hope they’re not reading this! What do you love most about Christmas? A: For me, it’s having time off and bringing people together who don’t normally come together during the rest of the year, whether that’s family or friends. It’s like a reset button for the year.
M: I love the fact that everyone is out window shopping and looking so cosy. I’ll be at home in a Christmas jumper, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows and watching festive films.
What’s on your Christmas list?
A: I’m so busy that I forget to buy things like new socks.
M: I love some M&S boxers, and getting a stocking is the best. Do you get luxe treats in your stocking? M: No, I get satsumas, a toothbrush, chocolate, and a funny book to read in the toilet. ■
