Why Lisa is still not ready to give in to Ant

She’s determined to have her say

-

Their divorce has been rumbling on for the past two years, but the frosty tensions between Ant Mcpartlin and his estranged wife Lisa Armstrong aren’t showing any signs of thawing in 2020. And, as Ant is desperate for Lisa to sign an NDA – and sort out their £62million fortune – before their split is finalised, she has told friends that she would consider giving up her share of the money for the freedom to write a tell-all book about their life together instead. “Lisa wants the freedom to tell people that living with Ant wasn’t always easy when he was battling his drink and drug addictions,” says heat’s insider. “She doesn’t want to bring him down, she just wants the option of letting people know why the situation’s been so difficult for her. She’s considering writing an honest account, but even if she chose to, it’d be impossible to publish under the terms of the current settlement that Ant is so eager for her to sign. She’s also been feeling reflective and emotional, and has been figuring out what she really wants out of this mess. She worries that, even if she walks away with a huge amount of money, she’ll still feel like Ant has won the war if she can’t tell her side of the story.”

Ant and Lisa were married for 11 years before splitting in January 2018, following his second stint in rehab. He has since moved on with the couple’s former PA, Anne-marie Corbett, and is said to be desperate to get the divorce over and done with, so that he and Anne-marie can officially start their new life together. n
