Rihanna moves on with A$AP Rocky
The singer has split from her billionaire boyfriend
When Rihanna started dating Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel, we kind of thought it was a done deal. But after three years, the couple have split, and it seems Ri-ri has already moved on.
The singer was spotted last week enjoying a concert in New York with rapper A$AP Rocky, and a source close to the 31 year old tells us her friends are worried it’s just a dangerous rebound. “She’s in a fragile place right now, and while it’s good she’s staying away from Chris Brown [her ex, who violently assaulted her in 2009], she still seems to be attracted to drama,” an insider tells heat. “A$AP’S a major party animal and some of her people fear he’ll lead her astray.”
Rihanna had been with Hassan for three years, and many fans believed they would marry, but she also has history with A$AP. The pair were rumoured to be dating back in 2013, when they filmed a music video together and were seen as recently as December cosying up to each other at the British Fashion Awards. Our source tells us, “A$AP’S a fun and charming guy, and they do have a connection that goes back a long time. The trouble is, they also have a real history of getting wild together – and he’s not a one-woman guy, by any means.”
A$AP dated fellow rapper Iggy Azalea between 2011 and 2012, before getting together with model Chanel Iman the following year. They were reported to be engaged in April 2014, but split not long after. The rapper was also linked to Kendall Jenner in 2017, although the relationship never seemed to develop into anything serious.
Rihanna has form for dating rappers, having had relationships with both Drake and Chris Brown. She began dating businessman Hassan in 2017, and even joked last year about marrying him, saying in an interview, “Only God knows that, girl. We plan and God laughs, right?”
It seems she’s planning on having fun with A$AP for now. n
