‘she doesn’t want viewers to focus on what she looks like’

Ever since she announced she was using a sperm donor to have her next baby, speculation has been rife as to when Cheryl will announce her pregnancy. As we told you last month, she may use a surrogate, but with the live shows of The Greatest Dancer starting this week, the 36-year-old singer – who is already mum to twoyear-old son Bear – is worried that viewers will start looking out for a “bump” and any other signs that she’s expecting.

“Cheryl wanted to be very open about her baby plans, which is why in her interview with The Times, she revealed details about using a sperm donor and how she wants two more kids,” our insider says. “But she’s worried she may have been too honest as she’s quite a private person. When she was expecting Bear, she never even confirmed her pregnancy, so she feels as if she’s already invited more speculation. With the live shows starting, she knows people will be on bump watch, looking at her stomach, trying to work out whether she’s pregnant or not.”

Speaking of her plans to use a sperm donor, Cheryl revealed, “It makes me very happy. If time were on my side and I was in my twenties, yeah, I would wait and consider more options, or wait for somebody I felt was right.” She also said she would be getting her sperm from “abroad”, adding,

“There’s a lot to choose from and a lot to think about.” In the same interview, she also spoke about having two prolapsed discs in her neck, so she will have to tone down her dance routines when she performs with her acts on The Greatest Dancer.

“She knows that if she can’t join in the more rigorous routines, people will also put it down to her being pregnant,” we’re told. “But she physically can’t do them at the moment. She’s also going to have to be careful with her wardrobe because if she wears anything remotely loose, people will start talking. She knows she has brought some of it on herself, but she wants viewers to concentrate on the dancers and not what she looks like.” n
