She wants a daughter… after some serious fun
She’s already got four young sons, so you’d be forgiven for thinking Coleen Rooney is done having children. But as heat has told you, the WAG is keen to start trying for a baby girl with husband Wayne. And while she would like for it to happen this year, we’re told Coleen – who is mum to Kai, ten, Klay, six, Kit, four, and 23-month-old Cass – wants to have a few months of fun first before she has another newborn to look after.
“After a roller-coaster couple of years, Coleen has decided that she would like one more baby and Wayne is over the moon,” our insider says. “He would like to start trying now, but Coleen is in no hurry and wants to enjoy herself over the next few months, with lots of nights out and girly trips away. She feels like she’s just got out of the baby phase and is loving the boys being older, so she doesn’t want to rush back into being pregnant. She feels she deserves a few more blowouts, especially with her birthday coming up in April.”
Both Wayne, 34, and Coleen, 33, have made no secret of their desire to have a daughter, and their marriage is now back on track following Wayne’s history of drunken misdemeanours, which, as heat reported, resulted in Coleen considering a divorce. And while she’s happier in her relationship, we’re told she’s started to put herself first.
“Coleen loves being a mum and a wife, but that’s not all she’s about,” the source adds. “She loves spending time with her friends and going away with them. When they went to Ibiza last summer, Coleen had a great time and she wants to do more of that before she has another baby. She knows she’ll have to cut back on girly time when she has five kids to look after.” ■
