‘They’re both excited about being together’
There was only one real winner this awards season: step forward, Brad Pitt. Not only did Hollywood’s golden boy get his first Oscar, capping off a winning streak that’s seen him take home every major prize for his supporting role in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, he also got the girl. And not just any girl, but Jennifer blinking Aniston, his one true love (don’t fight us on this), righting a wrong that started 15 years ago when they split.
According to insiders, the former married couple are eager to see where their fledgling reunion might lead them, and now that the Oscar’s in the bag, they have the space to do just that –starting with a private getaway.
“Brad and Jen have a secret date set to celebrate his Oscar win,” says an insider close to the reunited exes, who hit headlines worldwide last month after being snapped embracing at the SAG Awards. “They briefly rubbed shoulders at Guy Oseary’s Oscar after-party, but they avoided any PDAS. But now they have plans for some quality time together at an exclusive LA hotel, the San Vicente Bungalows. It’s the only place outside of their homes where they can be guaranteed anonymity, as guests are forced to check-in their phones on arrival.
“They also want a holiday to Cabo in Mexico – where they can sunbathe and enjoy lavish dinners – and are currently working out the logistics of it all. They’re both excited about spending time together now the madness of awards season is over, and Jen is feeling so happy that Brad is back as Hollywood’s top star. She watched the Oscars at a private party, and was beaming with pride when he won.”
There’s no doubt that Brad and Jen are loving life right now. They’ve both seen their careers hit unprecedented highs, while Brad in particular has had a major turnaround – professionally and personally – after getting sober two years ago. Apparently, his glittering comeback, coupled with his budding reunion with Jen, has got him feeling nostalgic, and he’s ready to take things to the next level.
“They’re both excited about spending time together,” we’re told. “They’re delighted that they’re back to being a huge part of each other’s lives again.” n
