Just call her Mrs Motivator…
She proved how much of a Beyoncé fan she was at the 2017 Grammys when she broke her award in half to give to her idol, but Adele has apparently also credited Queen Bey with being the “ultimate motivator” throughout her recent dramatic weight-loss journey.
Last week, fans were shocked by a picture the 31 year posted online, which showed off her 7st weight loss in a slinky leopard-print dress. The singer was snapped at Jay Z and Beyoncé’s Oscars after-party, and we’re told Adele has her hostess to thank for her new look.
“Beyoncé is Adele’s ultimate icon and they have bonded over their weight-loss journeys,” an insider tells heat. “Beyoncé has been nothing but supportive to Adele throughout her transformation. She has helped her with her own fitness tips, as well as giving her a different outlook on it all, by teaching her to enjoy the work that she’s putting in.”
Adele – who is mum to seven-year-old Angelo – first debuted her new figure at Drake’s birthday party in October last year, just weeks after filing for divorce from Simon Konecki. She is said to have been working out with various trainers as well as following a strict diet, and we’re told she saw the Oscars party as a goal to work towards.
“Watching an early screening of Beyoncé’s Homecoming documentary last year really spurred Adele on to continue her disciplined diet and exercise routine,” says the source. “The Oscars were her incentive to work hard, so she could show off the amazing results.” ■
