Coleen’s fury over Rebekah’s ‘crocodile tears’

They’ve been at war ever since Coleen Rooney infamously claimed fake stories about her had been leaked from Rebekah Vardy’s Instagram account (which Rebekah has vehemently denied). And now relations between the WAGS have reached a new low, after Rebekah appeared on Loose
Women to speak about the scandal.
Although she claimed she couldn’t say too much for “legal reasons”, a tearful Becky told the show’s hosts it was , “Probably up there with one of the worst things I’ve had to deal with, apart from being abused when I was younger.”
At the time, Becky – wife of footballer Jamie – was pregnant with her fifth child, and said the spat caused her to be hospitalised with anxiety and kidney stones, because of the trolling she received. But, apparently, Coleen was not impressed with Becky’s appearance, and quickly released a statement, saying she “remains confident in the legal process and sees no reason to take the numerous opportunities that have been offered to engage in further public debate in this matter.” And heat’s insider says Coleen will not take this lying down. “The fact that Coleen issued a statement says it all – it shows just how worked up she is,” our source says. “She can’t believe it’s come to this, and that Rebekah is comparing the situation to child abuse. Coleen’s raging that Rebekah is spinning it so much and making her look so evil. Coleen is determined to play this thing out, and make sure that she’s vindicated by the legal process. It was the first time Becky – who has always denied leaking the stories – had spoken about the scandal since giving an interview back in October, claiming she was hiring a team of forensic IT experts to prove her innocence. But many viewers were not convinced by Becky, 37, and accused her of crying “crocodile tears”. Now we’re told Coleen, 33, is determined to bring her rival down.
“Coleen has mixed emotions,” we’re told. “Part of her wishes she’d never started it – well, the public bit, anyway. She wishes she’d just kept it private, and says she has a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. She gets so worked up if you ask her about it – she’s consumed by it, and ‘exposing’ Rebekah. She’s told her legal team to spend whatever money they need in order to gather as much evidence about Rebekah as possible. This is really personal for her now.” n
