Another step towards global domination
Music, fashion, religion – they’ve already got their fingers in so many pies, it shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are now hoping to launch their very own television network.
While Keeping Up With The Kardashians and its spin-offs still dominate reality TV, heat has been told the globally famous couple are planning on starting with a talk show and building up to launching their own channel. “They’re talking about creating a new talk show to interview celeb friends and other important people in their lives,” says our insider. “They have so much money to spend and tons of things they’d love to give exposure to, but social media can only promote so much. The TV channel option makes a lot of sense, and they’re keen to build on the model that worked so well for the likes of Oprah [who has her own network], while taking it up a level with their own personal touch.”
Unsurprisingly, it seems TV executives in the US are falling over themselves to help out with the project, especially as, we’re told, “Everyone knows it’ll be a slam-dunk success story, particularly because Kim and Kanye are prepared to front up their own money for it.”
Khloé did have her own talk show, Kocktails With Khloé, back in 2016, but Kimye are adamant their effort will be on a whole other level. We’re told, “Kim thought that was such a missed opportunity, so instead of a cheesy format like Khloé’s, she and Kanye want something that’s fun, but also thought provoking and with depth behind it.” ■
