She’s had a change of heart
If there’s one question that Sam Faiers is sick of by now, it must be ‘When are you getting married?’ The reality star has been asked it ever since she got together with her partner Paul Knightley in 2014, and even more since having their kids, Paul, four, and two-year-old Rosie. And it looks like all the enquiring has finally got to Sam – in fact, it’s put her off marriage altogether.
Last week, the reality star said in an interview that she and Paul had no plans to get engaged as they already have “a lot going on”. Speaking about their upcoming big move to Surrey, the 29 year old shut down any talk of weddings. “Probably not,” she said. “Everyone always asks, but we’ll be moving this year to a completely different county, little Paul goes to school, and it’s my 30th.” She then added, “I don’t want the gap to be too big between the kids with having another sibling… So, maybe next year we would have another baby.”
This leaves little space for getting married, despite Sam previously saying she wanted to walk down the aisle before having another child. In 2017, before Rosie was born, she said, “We would love to be married before we have another baby. It’s Paul’s call, not mine, but we always talk about marriage. Paul’s just waiting for the right moment.”
Last year, she also said that she wanted to get married “when I’m 30”, but has now apparently changed her mind. Not that it will stop everyone asking, obviously. ■
