It’s back to reality for the Love Islanders

But they’re all still floating on cloud nine

After spending weeks soaking up the South African sunshine and pulling each other for chats, the class of the first ever winter Love Island have finally returned home. And, after readjusting to wearing clothes all the time and the joys of social media, the couples are already looking to the future.

Winners of the series, Paige Turley and Finn Tapp were discussing moving in together before the show had even finished. The commute between Milton Keynes and Glasgow seems a bit too much for the loved-up couple and so they’ve decided on Manchester to set up home.

“I think Glasgow might be a bit rough for Finn. They’d eat him alive!” Paige said after winning the show, with Finn agreeing Manchester is the “middle ground”. But, before they can choose a swanky pad with their £50k winnings, Finn has a job to finish. Having been signed as a football player for Oxford City, last week the club’s commercial director revealed that Finn had gone AWOL in January to join Love Island, and that the 20 year old is in breach of his contract. “He has a contract, so he has to finish the contract he has with the football club,” the director said. Adding, “I can assure you that [with] all new players we sign from now on, we will be putting clauses in their contracts. I think we’re going to have to.”

Fan favourites Siânnise and Luke T have also already been on Rightmove (probs), as they’re planning on moving to Windsor of all places. “I’m from Luton and Siânnise is from Bristol,” Luke said in a recent interview. “We’re thinking we’ll move to wherever is in the middle. We think the middle is in Windsor.”

The pair have even gone as far as discussing marriage and babies although Siânnise wasn’t planning on using the leap year to her advantage. “There’s no proposal up my sleeve just yet. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to top the fairy tale he did for me when he asked me to be his girlfriend.” Fairy-tale wedding or not, the couple are hoping for a big family. “We want four kids,” Luke admits. “We’ve said once we’re stable financially, and in our relationship, I think we’d do it.”

While the Islanders were all thrilled to get back to their families, having spent weeks away with no contact, Siânnise is already worried about Luke missing his villa BFF – Luke M. “We said we’d go and visit him, because I know Luke can’t be away from him for too long,” she said. “I’ve started to get jealous. I was looking at them the other day I thought, ‘I think you love Luke M more than you love me.’”

Luke M and Demi Jones are taking things slowly – although they’ve said they’re “exclusive” – while Jess and Ched say that going official is still “on the cards”. Ched will have to decide if he’s happy to move in with Jess and her twin, Eve, first. What’s a guy to do, eh? n
