She previously called him her “best friend” and didn’t hold back in publicly gushing about their one-year relationship. But last week, Dani Dyer erased all traces of boyfriend Sammy Kimmence from her social media and blocked him amid reports that she’d dumped him for good – weeks after he was charged with scamming two elderly men out of their life savings. Apparently (and unsurprisingly), the reality star and her stockbroker beau, who’s awaiting trial in June, decided they wanted different things in life.
“Dani was besotted with Sammy and they were madly in love, but recently, their relationship had become more like a nightmare,” said an insider close to the 23 year old. “He’s a bit of a wheeler-dealer and loves fame and attention. Really, it’s the opposite of what Dani wants. She decided it was best for her to just end it. She was sick of the drama.”
It’s certainly another knock for the star, who hasn’t commented publicly on Sammy’s ongoing court proceedings. Last month, he was released on bail after pleading not guilty to conning two of his clients, aged 90 and 80, out of £34k.
This comes after the blow of learning earlier this year that ex-boyfriend Jack Fincham had become a dad – just nine months after their break-up. Despite this, last week, Dani seemed positive about the future, posting a selfie to Instagram, captioned, “Love yourself first and everything else falls into place.”
