Why aye! Could Hollywood be the next big career move for Cheryl?
She’s starring alongside Russell Brand
We know she can sing, and we know she can dance. So, we can’t say we’re all that surprised to find out Cheryl is well on her way to becoming a fully-fledged triple threat as she stars in upcoming kids’ film Four Kids And It.
The 36 year old makes an appearance in one of the children’s “wish” sequences where she stars as Coco Rayne, the scarily efficient manager to teenage superstar Smash in a scene set in London’s O2 arena. Fourteen-year-old Ashley Aufderheide – who plays Smash – said meeting Cheryl was “amazing”, adding, “She showed us her Instagram and things like that, and joked around with us. She was so great.”

Wilson children’s book, and which also stars Russell Brand – back in July 2018, so we’re sure she’s thrilled that it’s finally about to hit our screens.
It’s possible this could be a new direction for Cheryl as there has been talk of The Greatest Dancer – her current TV gig – being axed after just two series due to poor ratings. The finale of the second series pulled in just 2.8million viewers and was beaten by an episode of Casualty. Cheryl could also find her planned summer gigs cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, so now would be a great time to get a few acting roles booked in.
This isn’t Cheryl’s first foray into cinema – the mum of one previously appeared with her Girls Aloud bandmates in 2007’s St Trinian’s, and had her very own role as a reality TV show judge in the 2012 Hollywood comedy What To Expect When You’re Expecting. At the time, she said, “It’s a bit of a laugh... It’s not that different for me from anything I’ve done before, but it’s just really exciting that it’s in a movie and in this environment.”
