Teen Mom UK’S Amber: ‘Stacey Solomon is an inspiration’
She’s coping with two kids in quarantine
While we’re all still getting used to the new quarantined way of life, Teen Mom UK star Amber Butler is doing it all with two little ones to contend with at the same time. The 22 year old had her second son, Hudson, back in September – a baby brother for five-year-old Brooklyn – and she’s found the transition to being a mum of two smoother than expected.
“I thought it would be really difficult having two, because honestly, I found having just Brooklyn really tough,” Amber tells heat. “But I feel like ever since he’s arrived, we’ve all grown up so much. Brooklyn is such a good big brother. He helps me with everything.”
And after struggling with being a 17-year-old mum to Brooklyn, Amber – who got back together with her sons’ dad Ste Rankine last year – tells us she’s proud of her parenting skills these days. She says, “With Brooklyn, I was literally just winging it. But the past six months, with Hudson, I have honestly smashed it, because Brooklyn’s got a proper routine now. It means when the kids are in bed, I’ve got time to sit down, have a glass of wine and watch whatever I want. It makes me feel like, literally, this is the life.”
While Teen Mom UK is now in its seventh series, Amber still laughs when we call her a “celeb mum”, but is quick to let us her know her showbiz parent inspo. “I really like Stacey Solomon,” she says. “I always like watching her Instagram stories, she’s a brilliant mum. It’s just nice to know that every parent is in the same boat.” ■
