‘Home workouts are so much fun’

What workouts do you love?

I’ve been doing loads more home workouts recently. I used to be convinced you wouldn’t get the same workout as you would do in the gym, and I was worried I wouldn’t be motivated enough. But now I’m really enjoying them. I do circuits, which are fun, as I can get my mum or dad to join in. My friend Krissy has an app called Tone & Sculpt, which I’ve been following almost every day. I have a dog, too,so I’ve been going for a run or walking the dog every day. I’ve been getting in more steps than I normally do!

When do you like to exercise?

Usually in the evening. I have so much more energy later at night, so I prefer that. I never work out in the middle of the day as, by then, I have a full face of make-up on and I’m not doing it all over again.

How do you start your day?

With breakfast. It’s my favourite meal of the day. I’m obsessed with cereal and I have Weetabix, banana and almond milk. I’ve been trying to be vegan while we’re in lockdown.

How do you motivate yourself?

I look back at videos I’ve posted after I’ve done a workout to remind myself how good I feel. The reward at the end is the best feeling, when your endorphins are going. Also, I love food, so I just know that I have to.

Any gym essentials?

I have a Free Form Board, which I’ve just bought. It’s amazing for toning your abs and the one at the gym was always being used, so I bought my own.

Favourite activewear brands?

I love Nike gym wear as they fit well. And Victoria’s Secret gym leggings are the best I’ve tried. They don’t fall down and are so comfy.

What trackers or apps do you use?

I love Map My Run for keeping track of my pace and distance when I run. I also use My Fitness Pal for tracking what I eat. It’s great for checking what nutrition different foods contain when I’m out and about.

Who do you follow on Insta?

Krissy Cela (@krissycela) is great and I love Pamela Reif (@pamela_rf). I do a mix between both of their workouts every day – that’s what’s kept me motivated recently.

Best choon to smash it when you’re exercising?

When I’m running, I listen to dramatic ballads as it gets me so emotional and motivated. ■
