You filmed the show a year ago – how hard has it been keeping it secret?
So hard. If I was dating a guy, I just wanted to be like, “Do you know who I am?” It’s such an achievement to say you’ve been on telly.
Was it tough being told you couldn’t have sex?
Yeah, it takes the excitement out of it, because if you’re going to see a fit guy, all you want to do is jump on him! But I just thought, “You know what? I’m going to prove to everyone watching that I can keep my legs closed!”
You said the American guys didn’t have good banter – why was that such a turn-off?
For me, banter is just common knowledge. But they were like, “What is banter?” If I said to an American guy, “You alright, babe?” they’d look at me and be like, “Yeah, why? Do I not look alright?” They took offence! I need a geezer in my life.
Are dating now? you I’ve had a few DMS from a few footballers and reality stars. All I’ll say is they are proper geezers, so keep your eyes peeled for when quarantine is over.
Has the show changed your attitude to dating?
Yeah, definitely. But I’ll always have that flirty, sexual banter. I want a career and to focus on myself, but that doesn’t mean I can’t sleep with someone if I think he’s fit! ■
