Revenge is a dish best served… in the pages of a tellall book for Meghan and Harry

Read it and weep, guys – their new biography promises to settle some scores

‘They both refuse to take any more abuse’

Hell hath no fury like two ex-royals scorned. So, buckle up, because Harry and Meghan are just getting started. Last week, it was revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had cooperated with two journalists on a new biography – provisionally titled Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World Of Harry And Meghan – which is set to be published in August. And, according to insiders, it promises to be quite the read, as the pair have taken the opportunity to “settle scores”, redress the “unfair” way they’ve been portrayed, and call out the people who they believe have wronged them – both inside and outside the palace.

“They’re both adamant that the people who treated them so terribly need to be called out and held accountable,” says an insider close to the couple, who are now living in Hollywood with their one-year-old son Archie, and last month announced they would no longer “be engaging” with the UK’S four leading tabloids, because of “distorted” and “false” stories. “That goes for courtiers at Buckingham Palace who Meghan believes treated her unfairly from day one, as well as ‘fairweather’ friends who pitted her against Kate Middleton, and even certain celebrities who’ve dissed them on social media. Harry and Meghan refuse to take any more abuse – they’re hitting back hard.”

Last week, an insider close to the pair said they believed that the palace had unfairly turned a blind eye to criticism of them. The source claimed “what irritated Meghan and Harry the most” was that if Kate Middleton had been treated in the same way by the tabloids “changes would have been made”. It’s been said the upcoming book is their chance for revenge.

Details of the book come as Meghan lost the first round of her lengthy legal battle with the Mail On Sunday, after the judge threw out parts of her claim for breach of privacy and copyright.

But in happier news, to cement their new showbiz lifestyle, Prince Harry appeared in a pre-recorded segment to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Thomas The Tank Engine. He also read from a book about the famous train for a new Thomas & Friends: The Royal Engine special episode (inset left).

It never stops in their new world. ■
