Kylie’s secret lockdown surgery

Yes, Botox IS an essential shopping item

‘Kylie takes the way she looks extremely seriously’

Most people would be flattered to be told they look fresh-faced, natural and much younger than they normally do when spotted without any make-up – but not Kylie Jenner. After all, the cosmetics mogul has created a billion-dollar brand based on her plumped pout, contoured face and super-glam selfies, and belongs to a family who single-handedly seem to be propping up the Botox industry. So, unsurprisingly, the 22 year old was not impressed when she was pictured make-up free in Beverly Hills last month – and, despite fans praising her pareddown look (and the fact that the world is in lockdown), we’re told the incident immediately sent her running to the cosmetic surgeon.

“Kylie takes the way she looks incredibly seriously, and it really bothered her when she couldn’t get her routine treatments at the start of lockdown,” says an insider close to the youngest Kardashianjenner, who’s mum to two-yearold daughter Stormi. “She wasn’t happy when she was photographed without make-up on. She wasn’t expecting anyone to notice her and she freaked out when she saw the pictures online. A lot of people were commending her for looking natural and less made-up, but she thought she looked jowly. So, she panicked and started looking into getting some touch-ups in the safest way she could.”

As we all know, even a visit to the hairdressers these days is a long-lost luxury (and we have the greys to prove it), but it seems that nothing’s off limits if you’re ungodly rich. According to our source, Kylie called in some favours with her most trusted aesthetic treatment doctors – and soon enough, she was back to looking her ultra-glossy self. “She’s one of the few celebs still capable of nipping out to get some discreet fillers and Botox,” we’re told. “The doctors go to extreme lengths to protect themselves and their patients while they’re performing the procedures. It costs a lot more than normal because of the extenuating circumstances, but that’s not a problem for Kylie. She’ll pay any amount to keep her selfesteem where it needs to be.”

Sure enough, the cosmetics queen – who recently bought a $36m LA mansion – was pictured out and about last week looking far more manicured than her earlier outing, and all the more confident for it. Whipping her face mask on and off, she strutted in front of the paps like she was walking a couture show, before later posting some sultry snaps to Instagram.

We guess Botox and fillers really do count as essential shopping items when you’re living in La La Land. ■
