Kate: ‘The kids have banned us from having sex!’
The family have had some awkward chats
Acouple of weeks ago, Rio Ferdinand told fans his wife Kate had been noticing his recently rediscovered abs, but if he thought that rejuvenated attraction was going to lead anywhere… he was wrong.
In an interview last week, Kate admitted that the couple were struggling to have any “private time” (wink-wink, nudge-nudge) during lockdown with three kids at home. When asked if Kate and Rio – who married last September – were planning on having their own baby anytime soon, Kate responded, “Conversations have got a bit graphic with the kids. They’re saying, ‘When are you going to do it, then?’ It’s so funny. One of them said, ‘You’re not going to have [sex] in lockdown while we’re in the house, so I think you’re going to have it in October.’ I’m like, ‘I can’t believe I’m having this conversation!’”
The 29 year old is stepmum to Rio’s three kids – Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11 and Tia, nine – who, it seems, are taking up quite a lot of their parents’ time at the moment. “That’s just part of being a parent, isn’t it? Where is the love life?” Kate joked in the interview. “We’re getting a little bit of time here and there, but I wouldn’t call it couple time.” However, the former TOWIE star did admit that she and 41-year-old Rio were keen to have their own baby together eventually. “We would like to have a baby, but there’s no [set] time,” she added.
For now, Kate seems perfectly content with her life, admitting, “I wouldn’t change it for the world, because I’ve got Rio and three kids that I love.” ■
