Brad & Ange ‘committed to making it work’

The warring exes meet up for more talks

- ELIZABETH RYAN

After a three-year court battle over finances and custody of their six children – as well as all the awkward public backbiting that came with it – we never thought we’d see exes Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie making home visits. Last week, surprise photos emerged of the actor leaving his ex-wife’s place in LA, following an afternoon of family fun with their kids. But insiders warn there’s still a long road ahead for the fractious pair.

“Brad played in the garden with the kids, before sitting down for coffee with Ange,” says an insider close to the 56 year old, who spent a year in A A after he broke up with Angelina in 2016. “They’re trying hard to resolve some stuff amicably – without lawyers – and they discussed schooling, security, money and foreign trips Ange wants to take after lockdown. It went pretty well, considering the topics were so intense. Ange even asked after Brad’s family and shared some photos of the kids with him.” It comes weeks after Angelina,45 – who shares custody of Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 11, with Brad – opened up about the painful divorce, explaining, “I separated for the wellbeing of my family. It was the right decision.” But after so much animosity, insiders say it’ll take more than a quick coffee to heal the rift. “There’s still so much unresolved,” says the source. “It was a challenging and exhausting conversation, and it left Brad feeling drained. But they’re both committed to working through these issues together and keeping things peaceful. Overall, this was a huge step forward, and everyone’s pleased.” n
