The British poet Lemn Sissay has been celebrated for his work, which has appeared everywhere from walls in Manchester to social media. In this threepart doc, Sissay tells his story to former BBC boss Alan Yentob, while heading on a literal journey to Ethiopia to discover his roots. We hear what it was like for him to be the only black kid growing up in a market town outside Wigan in the ’70s, before ending up in a failing care system as the ’80s began. HHHH
