Louise Redknapp is warned by ex Jamie not to become a party girl again

Will their reunion be derailed?

While we’re still praying for a second wedding for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, we’ve set our sights on a (hopefully) more achievable couple – Jamie and Louise Redknapp. As heat told you two weeks ago, Louise has been reflecting on their 19-year marriage recently and the pair have even considered reuniting. But Jamie, 47, apparently has a few concerns he wants to air before he thinks about trying again, as an insider close to the former footballer tells us he’s hoping Louise, 45, will leave her partying ways in the past.

“Louise started going out a lot more and making different friends when their marriage problems started after Strictly [which she appeared on in 2016],” says our source. “And while Jamie is happy for her to have her own life, he feels if they are going to give it another go, they have to prioritise each other and the family. He knows it’ll be different to what it was before, but he’s not a huge fan of Louise the Party Girl.”

Louise and Jamie share two sons – Charley, 15, and Beau, 11 – who have been going back and forth between both parents’ places during lockdown, and Louise recently shared in a interview that Charley had given her his approval to date again, adding, “It was actually a big moment, as he’d always been quite vocal that I’d never go on a date. They always hope their mum and dad will work things out.”

Louise’s new-found confidence is clear to see in the sexy selfies she’s been posting on Instagram recently – which have perhaps also served to remind Jamie that she’s an independent woman these days. “Louise doesn’t see what’s wrong with going out and letting her hair down with friends,” our source says. “She thinks it’s healthy – her friends have been her lifeline over the past few years.”

The singer took advantage of the easing of lockdown last week and was seen out and about with friends in London. “She couldn’t wait to go out again and not be stuck in the house,” we’re told. “She really wants things with Jamie to work, but she won’t give up her new life. She wants them to blend together.” ■
