Those beautiful models need to stick together
They’ve been close friends for a while now – even forming a “quarantine crew” at the beginning of lockdown alongside a few other Hollywood pals. But last week, Cara Delevingne, 27, and Kaia Gerber, 18, set tongues wagging that they’re more than BFFS, after looking close at a Black Lives Matter rally in LA. Laughing in the face of social distancing (but also being responsible and wearing masks), the models held hands and cuddled throughout the demonstration – sending speculation soaring that their friendship has blossomed into romance.
Cara and Kaia’s PDA comes four months after they first shacked up at Cara’s LA home with their actress friend Margaret Qualley and Cara’s thengirlfriend Ashley Benson. They later went their separate ways, with Kaia spending time at her family home in Malibu with mum Cindy Crawford, dad Rande and brother Presley, while Cara and Ashley broke up in May. But last week, they looked happy to be back in each other’s company.
And while they might just be very good friends, we’re sure that – either way – this comes as a big relief to Kaia’s mum Cindy, who spent a good chunk of last year worried sick about her daughter’s relationship with troubled comedian Pete Davidson. The model dated Pete during his much-documented battle with drugs and alcohol, before ending things in December. Luckily, Cara soon took her under her wing – and the rest is history.
