Newlywed Bea’s baby pact with Eugenie

Because what else follows a secret wedding?

- KATIE HOLLOWAY

Aroyal wedding is always something to celebrate – even if it happens in secret – and after Princess Beatrice tied the knot last week in a private ceremony, we’re told it won’t be long before there are more celebrations for both her and sister Princess Eugenie.

“The royals are braced for more excitement amid mounting rumours both Beatrice and Eugenie will be making pregnancy announcements soon,” a royal insider tells heat. “Beatrice has made it clear she and Edo won’t be hanging around before they start a family of their own – especially now that they’re finally married.”

Beatrice, 31, married property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi last week at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor in front of around 20 guests – including the Queen and Prince Philip. Beatrice paid tribute to her

Beatrice and 36-year-old Edo, who has son Wolfie from a previous relationship, were supposed to marry in May, but the pandemic scuppered their plans. And Bea and Edo aren’t the only ones hoping to expand the royal family, according to our insider, who tells us, “Beatrice and Eugenie have always wanted to have babies together – as soon as Beatrice got engaged, they made a pact.”

Princess Eugenie – who married Jack Brooksbank in 2018 – posted her delight at her sister’s wedding on Instagram. She wrote, “What a joy and privilege to watch you, my beautiful big sister, walk down the aisle to dear Edo. I am so proud of you and I’m excited to support you in the next chapter of your life. We are going to have so much fun together.”

And the next chapter seems to be

royal cousins. Our source says, “Both couples are in agreement it’ll be great to have kids who are around the same age. The way they see it, they’ve got a magical opportunity to create the next generation of royals – so the sooner it can happen, the happier they’ll be.”

Beatrice is said to be completely committed to being a great stepmother to her husband’s son, and feels that it’s perfect practice for when they have a baby of their own. “Having her own baby is a big priority for Beatrice, and while she insists there’s no big rush, it’s common knowledge among her friends that this isn’t something she wants to wait around for. Ideally, she’d like two or more children, and she hopes to be finished with baby making by her forties. In her mind that doesn’t give her a whole lot of time, so she’s made Edo promise that they won’t wait.” n
