They brought their relationship back from the brink last year, after some incriminating photos threatened to destroy it. But Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel proved just how far they’d come last week, after it was revealed that Jessica had given birth in secret to a baby boy – a second son for the couple, who already share five-year-old Silas.
According to insiders, their new arrival – which comes just eight months after Justin was pictured holding hands with his co-star Alisha Wainwright, who then stroked his knee – marks the end of a tricky chapter for the pair. As heat told you, Jessica (who was in the early stages of pregnancy at the time) immediately laid down the law and insisted on her husband making some serious changes. And a grovelling Justin rose to the challenge.
“Jessica came so close to divorcing Justin after his night out with Alisha, and the fact she was pregnant only made it ten times worse,” says an insider close to the pair, who got married in 2012. “She told him that she was done with empty promises and, unless he went to therapy, she’d be filing for divorce. Justin knows he messed up and, to his credit, he’s made amends and has put Jess first. He’s cut way back on booze and he’s been way more hands on with Silas and the new baby, too. If Jess asks to see his messages, he hands over his phone without a word.”

Two weeks later, Justin issued a public apology, telling followers, “I displayed a strong lapse in judgement, but let me be clear, nothing happened between me and my co-star… I want to apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be.”
According to our source, Justin knows how lucky he was to get a second chance – and their new baby has made him even more devoted. “‘Happy wife, happy life’ is a saying he keeps repeating,” we’re told. “It really sums up how he’s managed to pull off a miracle and stay married.” n
