After Taylor Swift seemingly dedicated a song on her new album to Blake Lively’s three daughters, it’s clear the pair are serious BFFS. So much so that an insider close to the A-list pals tells heat that Taylor has made sure Blake will be heavily involved in planning the singer’s rumoured wedding to boyfriend Joe Alwyn, even though it’s a little way off yet.
“Taylor and Joe have been unofficially engaged for over six months,” we’re told. “Blake will be front and centre as maid of honour and will help to plan the wedding, while Ryan [Reynolds, her husband], has been tapped up to be groomsman. It takes a lot to live up to Tay’s high standards, but she’s sure Blake will do a great job.”
Taylor has been dating British actor Joe for almost four years. The couple often spend time with their Hollywood friends Blake and Ryan – who recently welcomed a third daughter, rumoured to be called Betty after a track on Taylor’s new album which also referenced “James” and “Inez”, the couple’s older daughters.
“Blake’s immaculate fashion sense is another major reason why Taylor values her input so highly,” our insider says. “They’ve been looking at some beautiful vintage gowns and jewellery, plus décor that will have a classy, Southern theme, while paying tribute to both Taylor and Joe’s respective backgrounds.”
The source adds, “It’s not a big issue that it’s a long way off, because it gives them time to get everything perfect. Taylor’s thrilled to have Blake’s help and Joe thinks the world of Ryan.”
