She’s moving on by sizing down – and that’s just the start
There’s nothing like getting a fresh new look to show your ex what they’re missing – and prove you’re better off without them. Just ask Gemma Collins, who’s been looking and feeling her best ever since giving her on/off boyfriend James “Arg” Argent the heave-ho last month, after he shockingly called her a “hippo” and a “fat f**k” via text.
But while most people might stop at a new hairdo, The GC’S going one step further – and getting herself a breast reduction. Speaking in an interview last week, Gem – who’s been showing off the impressive results of her ongoing fitness journey – said she’d booked the surgery after losing 3st. “I can’t wait to get rid of these boobs, they’re massive and look ridiculous,” she told The Sun. “I have never looked better than I do now and I’ve never felt so good… But as my body is getting smaller, I feel like I am falling over on top and I just want them gone.”
Gem’s surgery plans come weeks after she pulled the plug on her and Arg’s relationship – and it’s fair to say that she hasn’t looked back since. As heat has told you, she’s dived back into the online dating scene, and she’s also been busier than ever in her career, especially since signing a massive deal with budget airline Wizz Air. Speaking last week, Gem – who turns 40 next January – said her smaller boobs were just the beginning.
“I feel like I am going to be more confident in my forties than I ever was in my twenties,” she said. “Jennifer Aniston, Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lopez, they look amazing and they’ve all been through it like me… move over J-LO, The GC is in town.”
As for getting back together with her ex, who was pictured last week enjoying the beach in Spain, Gem said she was taking inspiration from the
Queen of reinvention in her bid to move on for good. “I want to be the Madonna of this generation,” she said. “I love Madonna, the older she gets the younger her men get. That is amazing. She’s a woman who has never shrunk herself to make men feel comfortable, she’s unapologetic and a hard worker. And she pays her own bills. She is an inspiration for me and so many women out there.”
