Brace yourselves, world, because bad boy Danny Dyer’s about to become a bad grandpa. The Eastenders star’s beloved daughter, Love Island winner Dani, surprised her fans last week by posting a photo of her and boyfriend Sammy Kimmence proudly holding up an ultrasound picture alongside the caption, “Little bubba, can’t believe you are going to be ours.” She added, “Me and Sammy are so excited to start this next chapter in our lives, feel so lucky and grateful. 2021.” It’s definitely an about-turn for the on/off pair, who got back together three months ago after a four-week separation. Dani, 24, had previously ended their ten-month relationship shortly after Sammy, also 24, appeared in court, charged with scamming two elderly men out of their life savings. He’s currently on bail awaiting trial, but writing on Instagram last week, Sammy focused on the positives of his year ahead, writing, “Can’t wait to start my perfect little family with you… baby Kimmence due 2021.”
Friends and fans were quick to congratulate Dani following her announcement – Jacqueline Jossa wrote, “Congrats, babe,” while Megan Barton-hanson wrote, “You’re going to be the best mumma.” But we have two big questions. Number one, will Dani’s former boyfriend Jack Fincham – who himself became a dad in January – be giving her any parenting advice? Jack slammed Dani earlier this year after revealing she was the only Love Islander who hadn’t congratulated him on his new baby girl. And two, most importantly, will she be continuing the family tradition of respelling the name Danny for her firstborn? We think Dannee has a nice ring to it… ■
