Cara & Kaia: ‘We’re in love’
Matching tattoos = together forever?
Nothing says love like a foot tattoo, right? Well, according to a Hollywood insider, that’s exactly what it means for Cara Delevingne and Kaia Gerber. The pair recently showed off their new matching tattoos – of the word “solemate” on their feet – to their fans on social media. And we’re told they’ve fallen head over heels (sorry) for each other. “Kaia is wise beyond her years, and like Cara, she’s got no shortage of dating options,” our source says of the 18-year-old model. “But she’s very choosy and quite shy. She actually hasn’t had many romantic partners. She was fairly serious with Wellington [Grant, a fellow model] and, of course, there was that fling with Pete [Davidson], but other than that, it’s been flirtations, really. Cara’s the first person who’s really connected with her as a friend as well as a lover, and the feeling’s very mutual.”
The pair – who chose to isolate together with some other friends back in March – were pictured in July at a Black Lives Matter protest in LA holding hands and cuddling, leading many to speculate they were an item.
And now our source claims they’ve been dating for some time – since Cara, 27, split with girlfriend of two years, Ashley Benson, mid-lockdown – adding that Kaia’s famously protective parents, model Cindy Crawford and dad Randy Gerber, are happy for them. “They have a tight group of friends who are all saying what a cute couple they make, and giving them space to have alone time as well as group hangouts when they feel like it. But it’s common knowledge they’re in love and everyone’s happy for them,” we’re told. “Cindy is so pleased to see Kaia so settled and she’s impressed by Cara, even though she’s keeping an eye out given Cara’s former wild child reputation. But the whole family have met her and they’ve all said how great it is to see Kaia so happy.” n
