heat speaks to Davina and Heather from real-estate reality show Selling Sunset

Selling Sunset star isn’t bothered by office goss

- CHARLOTTE OLIVER

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have heard of – and probably binge-watched – all three seasons of Selling Sunset, the reality realty show following a group of drop-dead gorgeous property brokers working at a luxury firm in the Hollywood Hills. The mansions may be jaw-dropping, but it’s the friendships and the feuds that

really have us hooked. Speaking to heat, Heather Rae Young, 32 – who had a major axe to grind with her co-workers last season, after they expressed doubts over her whirlwind relationship with fellow property-slash-reality star Tarek El Moussa – chats wedding plans and bitchy colleagues… Is there really as much office drama as we see? You know what? Sometimes we have the cameras on us seven days a week, up to eight hours a day. They’re always going to edit the juicy parts. But what you see is the truth, it’s not scripted. Half the time, I forget I’m miked up! But then, sometimes having the cameras on us really intensifies the arguments. How do you all always look so glam? We do our own hair and make-up most of the time! But when we film big events, like Christine’s wedding, we get it done professionally. Are you close to the girls in real life? Look, we’re a really strong group. There’s obviously been a lot of personal drama surrounding Chrishell [whose husband Justin left her during series three], and she knows I am always here for her. Davina is a very strong woman, she’s a really good friend. Your colleagues were pretty sceptical about your romance – did that bother you? Not at all. It’s none of their business. Everything Tarek and I do together is so special. We’ve been discussing our wedding plans, and the one thing I hope is that, on the day, there is no drama. I just want it to be a really magical day. I know that being a wife will be one of the most important roles I will ever have. ■
