Lisa Armstrong moves on… into a massive new house. And we’ve got the pics
She’s moving on and moving into a plush new house
‘She is happy and focused on the future’
She’s been firing on all cylinders over the past few months – hitting career highs with the release of a make-up range, finding happiness with new beau James Green, and clearing out her home of all of ex-husband Ant Mcpartlin’s old belongings.
And, last week, Lisa Armstrong took an even bigger leap towards her shiny new future, after finally selling her former marital home and splashing out on a swanky £3.8m pad in west London. With a massive kitchen, five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a master bedroom with a balcony overlooking her envy-inducing garden, we’re pretty sure she’s going to have no problem moving on for good. It’s certainly been a long time coming for the make-up artist, who endured a tumultuous two years of divorce proceedings with Ant, before finalising their split in April. Since signing the decree absolute, she hasn’t looked back and – as heat told you last week – she’s been fielding TV offers left, right and centre, as well as receiving praise for her brandnew make-up range with Avon.
But, despite all these exciting new ventures signalling a fresh start, Lisa still found herself having to hit back at critics last week, after some people questioned why she was staying so close to the home that Ant shares with his girlfriend Anne-marie Corbett and her two daughters (they also live in west London). “I’ve had enough… My house is nowhere near my ex,” Lisa raged in a tweet, adding that her sceptics were “bullies” and telling them to “leave me alone”. According to insiders, Lisa’s a west London girl through and through, so she was never going to move too far away – especially as she and Ant still share custody of their beloved dog Hurley. But she’s happy and focused on an Ant-free future – and was hardly going to leave the area she calls home.
“Lisa thinks the speculation is laughable – she has friends in the area and loves it,” says a source
close to the 43 year old, who started moving things out of her marital home last month. “She doesn’t see why she should be the one who has to move far away, and she’d have no problem if Ant and Anne-marie relocated. She certainly won’t be following them anywhere, because it’s not about that. Lisa loves being close to the Thames and there are plenty of parks where she can take Hurley on long walks. It really was about the property and nothing else. Lisa feels like she’s moved on from the marriage and she’s more than happy with James.”
Last week, Lisa appeared on The Outspoken Beauty podcast to discuss her new make-up range – and she had a thinly-veiled message for her critics. “There’s no reason why you should not be nice to people,” she told the host Nicola Bonn. “My dad used to always say to me, ‘Be nice to people on the way up because you never know who you’re going to meet on the way down.’”
Wise, optimistic, and with a fab new home to boot: Lisa, we like your style. n
