Nadine: ‘I won’t get better than Jason’
As the Strictly star admits he still loves her

Forget about the Strictly curse – this year’s series might actually be inspiring a love reunion. After contestant Jason Bell’s confession to heat last week that he’s still in love with ex Nadine Coyle, insiders say the former Girls Aloud star is starting to realise what she’s lost. In fact, she’s told friends she now knows she’ll never find anyone better than Jason – and is even considering having another baby with him.
“Nadine will always love Jason,” says a source close to the Irish singer, who shares daughter Anaíya, six, with the former American football star. “She knows how lucky she was to be with him – and even jokes to friends that she’ll never do better. They’ve always stayed on great terms – that’s why everyone was so shocked when they split up – and recently they’ve been getting closer.”
This follows a whole lot of fan speculation around the pair – who were together on and off for 11 years, before they split in 2019 – after they were pictured holding hands in a car outside the BBC studios last week. Jason, 42, also admitted in an interview with heat that he was still mad about his former fiancée. “She knows me better than anybody,” he told us. “I love her! I love who she is as a person, always have and always will. The thing about Nadine is that, if you watch her and see how she cares about her daughter and the people she loves, it’s infectious.” He also insisted he had no interest in dating anyone else, saying, “I’ve got two women in my life who take up all my time, and one of them is six years old.”
And if they do get back together, friends think they will be keen to cement their relationship with a second child. “Nadine’s always said that, if she has another baby, she’d want Jason to be the dad because he’s so great,” says our insider. “He is the perfect man for Nadine in so many ways, and maybe it took this split for them both to realise that. Everyone’s hopeful they’ll reunite.” n
