Jac rents new flat for ‘breathing space’

‘She thought it would be good to have somewhere to escape to’

For some couples, all this recent time together has brought them closer – yes, we’ve noticed the baby boom – while for others, it’s been a testing time. During the last national lockdown, actress Jacqueline Jossa moved out of the home she shared with husband Dan Osborne, taking their two daughters with her. The situation had apparently “magnified” their issues, and Jac moved into what she described as her “parents’ new home”.

Now, with England back under tough restrictions, we’re told the 28 year old is again renting separate accommodation, and setting new boundaries to make sure their marriage can survive. “Jac is being pragmatic about this lockdown,” says our insider. “She thinks it’s healthy for her and Dan to have some space from each other, even though, at times, she finds it hard to trust him.”

Last week, Jac announced the exciting news that she will make her West End debut in A Christmas Carol, and we’re told she’s also renting the house to use for rehearsals, as well as a sanctuary from the pressures of home life. “She’s got her West End show coming up, so she thought it would be good to have another base where she can escape to learn her lines and have a bit of breathing space,” our source explains.

Back in May, Jac was seen with her daughters – Ella, five, and Mia, two – at a separate property. She eventually told her followers, “I’ve been honest about my situation at the moment, and yes, I’ve been staying at another house – a house my parents will eventually be moving into. I had really been struggling (haven’t we all!?)

lately and, as I said the other day, I’ve just needed some time and breathing space.” She later confirmed that she had not split from 29-year-old Dan, saying, “I need some time. There is no split. No divorce. We are working together, not against each other.”

But this time around, we’re told Jac isn’t taking any chances. “She’s laid down new rules, where they have to be on a fixed schedule that will leave no doubt in her mind about what Dan is up to,” says the source. “They have to check in with each other at least three times a day, and Jac has said they’re both allowed to have a change of scenery, so long as it’s agreed in advance. But friends are worried it could be a recipe for disaster.”

This comes a year after Jacqueline was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celeb. During her time in the jungle, cheating allegations surfaced when Dan was accused of having had a threesome with his Celebrity Big Brother co-stars. It was also reported that Jac’s campmate Myles Stephenson had suggested to her that Dan had previously cheated with reality star Gabby Allen, although Dan denied all the allegations. In June, however, he gave an interview and admitted, “I’ve made mistakes, yeah. I’ve done things I shouldn’t have done. Me and Jac have spoken about that and she has forgiven me.”

And recently the pair have looked happier than ever. They were seen enjoying a day out at Thorpe Park, as well as heading to a spa for Jac’s birthday last month. Posting a photo of them both, Jac called it the “best birthday ever”, telling her followers, “We’ve had a facial, spa evening and then a lush dinner, now slightly tipsy in bed watching Pitch Perfect, so... best night really.” n
