How therapy saved Jac & Dan

The jungle queen admits to marriage struggles

-

Jacqueline Jossa has admitted to fans that she and husband Dan Osborne have had therapy to help their marriage. After a roller coaster of a year for the pair – who have been married for three years – the former Eastenders actress revealed that lockdown saw them seek support.

“I kept it in for a while, but then over lockdown, it was a really good time and place for Daniel and I to go through everything – an opportunity for us to talk through it all. For me, this meant turning to therapy,” the 28 year old said in an interview last week.

Back in May, it was reported that Jacqueline was living at a separate property from her husband with their daughters, Ella, five, and Mia, two. Jac has now confirmed that she used the rental home as space away from Dan. “I couldn’t be in the same house as Dan. There was no big argument or bust-up, and there were no other girls,” she said, referring to the cheating allegations against 29-year-old Dan at the time. “Moving out was literally how I had to deal with it. It was like when you wake up after a bad dream about someone – you need some space. That’s what it was like with therapy.”

Dan was accused of cheating on Jac with former Love Islander Gabby Allen, as well as having a threesome with his Celebrity Big Brother co-stars Natalie Nunn and Chloe Ayling. In July, he admitted that he had “made mistakes”, but that his wife had “forgiven” him. In her recent interview, Jac confirmed that she has made Dan work to redeem himself, saying, “He’s always having to apologise to me, for everything.”

But the 2019 jungle queen does not want to be known as a doormat. “I’m not weak,” she said. “My version of events this year is very different to other people’s. It’s never, ever been a case of ‘poor Jacqueline’ – that really annoys me – and it’s never been Jacqueline versus Dan.” Ultimately, she said that lockdown had allowed her and Dan to “reconnect”, and that they’re even thinking about renewing their vows “when the time is right”.
