It can’t be easy watching your other half scream in terror while lost in the dark and getting showered with bugs – but, actually, Abbie Quinnen is loving seeing boyfriend AJ Pritchard squirm. In fact, she’s urging people to vote for the 26 year old to do as many challenges as possible in the I’m A Celeb castle. After all, she tells us, it was only last month that the former Strictly dancer was howling in fear at the sight of a spider in their London flat.
Speaking to heat, the 23-year-old dancer, who’s been dating AJ for almost two years, tells us what it’s like dating the loveliest, and possibly vainest, man in town – with the very best bottom…
Were you surprised to see AJ shrieking at all the creepie-crawlies? Not at all, he is such a wimp! I think we can expect some brilliant facial expressions in any upcoming challenges. I find it hilarious and just want to see him doing more – especially because he’d be wetting himself with laughter if it were the other way around.
His luxury product was his curl cream – is he really as high-maintenance it seems? Yeah, he loves his curl cream. He’s constantly looking in the mirror, while I’m just there rolling my eyes at him. You posted a picture of some flowers that he pre-ordered for you before going into the castle – is he the romantic type? Yeah, he’s lovely – he’s taken me on quite a lot of holidays and we go for nice dinners. But I was so shocked about the flowers, I couldn’t believe he’d done that for me. And he’s booked for us to go to Soho Farmhouse in December. I literally cried my eyes out. I’m a very lucky girl. You’ve spoken about receiving hate messages – and even death threats. How do you cope with it all? There’s not really much I can do about all that stuff. AJ tells me to just ignore it, which I need to do more, really. But since he’s been in the castle, I’ve had so much support. He also has so many amazing fans who are now my fans, too, they’re so supportive of us. I think that outweighs the bad, really. There’s been a lot of talk about AJ’S bum – are you happy it’s getting the attention it deserves? Yes, I love it! I’m very happy that the whole nation now appreciates what a great bum he has, as much as I appreciate it. n
