Posh prepares to give up on her dream as she takes advice from the Kardashians

She turns to the Kardashians to reinvent her life and business

‘Victoria’s fashion label means everything to her’

When Victoria Beckham launched her own fashion label back in 2008, it was her dream come true. She won critical acclaim for her designs, and every A-lister wanted to wear one of her dresses. But while her clothes are still popular 13 years on, we’re told she is thinking about giving up on high-end fashion to focus on more lucrative ventures, like her beauty brand, homeware and reality TV. And she’s getting advice from the ultimate moneymakers – the Kardashians.

“Victoria’s fashion label means everything to her, and she has worked so hard on it over the years,” our insider explains. “But it’s been well-documented that it struggles financially, and as Victoria has reassessed her life over the past year or so, she’s thought about getting a better work/life balance. She’s thinking about changing her focus to something that is more gain for less pain, which is going back on everything she’s previously said. It will be quite an embarrassment if she does have to admit defeat and turn her back on it, but she knows there are much easier ways for her to be a success.”

In recent years, Victoria – who has four children, Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 18, Cruz, 15, and nineyear-old Harper with husband David – has given up more and more control over her label, which is reported to have made losses of up to £12million each year and is struggling due to the pandemic.

But her beauty range has been doing well, and she’s just started venturing into homeware, such as blankets and cushions – which aren’t exactly cheap at £350 and £190 respectively – and could see herself going down the Gwyneth

Paltrow route and launching something like Goop.

But it’s the Kardashians who Victoria admires the most – she sees how lucrative their product lines are and has been inspired by their recent reality TV deal with Hulu, which is expected to make them millions. And Posh wants in on the action. Her last attempt was in 2007 with Coming To America, when the family moved to LA for David’s football career, and now they’re spending more time in the US again – the family has been based in Miami since late December – she wants advice from the Kardashians, because they know how to merge TV with selling products.

“Vic has always wanted to get back into reality TV, and she’s willing to let the Kardashians advise her and David about the steps they need to take to make this successful,” we’re told. “Their new Hulu deal gives them a lot of influence in broadcasting as a whole, and they’re excited to team up with other celebrities like the Beckhams, who can appear on their new projects, plus have their backing for separate shows. Vic sees huge potential here – not just for TV, but giving her brand a life-saving boost and moving it in a different direction.”

The source adds, “It upsets Victoria that the family’s reality show didn’t work out, and she still has huge ambition to get involved in TV and multi-media projects. But it has to feel right, and the Kardashians seem like a perfect fit, with their enormous social media reach and proven track record for being winners in virtually everything they touch. She’s ready to sit down with them and make something happen.” ■
