MONTANA ON LOVING THE FARM LIFE

One, two, three, it’s a farmer’s life for she!

-

As a Love Island veteran, Montana Brown knows what it’s like to come up against a filthy animal or two. But it’s safe to say that the reality star truly threw herself into the deep and muddy end while starring in MTV’S Celebs On The Farm, which was filmed last year. After all, we don’t need to tell you there’s a big difference between milking it for the ’gram and milking a real-life cow. Still, the 24 year old was in her element, especially when it came to cuddling up with the calves. She’s udderly smitten with the farmer’s life…

Was working on the farm a shock to the system? I tell you what, I feel like people get that wrong idea of me, because I love being outdoors. I’ve always wanted to live on a farm – just maybe not a working farm! It was amazing to be outside every day and be with all the animals. Were you keen to show you could get your hands dirty? Yeah, definitely. I just feel like a lot of people have this assumption about influencers and reality people, that they just play with their hair and go on Instagram. It was nice to do something different and show that I’m not useless. Which bit did you like best? Anything to do with rearing baby animals, I was all hands on deck. There were some calves that had just been born, and I was so attached to one in particular. If it was up to me, I would have slept in the calf pen, I felt like it was my child. I never thought I’d love calves so much. What was the trickiest task? Handling fully grown animals is quite intimidating. It’s different when you’re driving past and see them in the field, but they’re huge. You’re now in Barbados [Montana flew there last year, pre the latest restrictions, with new man Mark O’connor]. How important is it to be open with your fans about being abroad? I think it is really important.

I didn’t travel during tier four – I went away long before those rules came into play. So, I was already away when it was announced, and I made the decision to stay out here because it is safer. But I put a poll up on my Stories to ask if people felt comfortable with me posting content from here, because the last thing I wanted was to make anyone feel like I was being insensitive. There are people I know who are going through the worst time of their lives. n

Brand new to MTV, Celebs On The Farm is currently airing every weeknight for the next two weeks
