Inside Kylie’s Aussie wedding
Is the pop star marrying in secret?
Kylie returning home to Australia calls for some sort of celebration, and it seems the singer is planning for the big one. It was reported last week that Kylie has returned to Melbourne to marry rumoured fiancé Paul Solomons in front of her family.
The 52 year old seemed to confirm she was engaged to the GQ magazine creative director recently when she flashed an engagement ring, shortly after Paul’s stepmother had told reporters, “I’m thrilled they’re engaged!” And now it seems the pop princess might be walking up the aisle sooner than we expected.
While it has been suggested that Kylie could have flown to Oz to appear as a judge on the new Rupaul’s Drag Race Down Under, a particular shopping trip has fans thinking otherwise. Kylie and her sister Dannii were seen out in Melbourne splashing the cash at luxury boutiques. It was the first time in six years the sisters had been pictured together. A source said that Dannii and Kylie were also spotted carrying a large dress bag during their shopping trip, adding, “There’s no way Kylie would get married without Dannii by her side. Those two have been thick as thieves since they were kids, and she’s a shoo-in for maid of honour.”
Kylie and Paul have been dating for three years, and she’s said to be desperate to make it official – and wants her mum, dad, sister, brother Bryan and three nephews by her side for her big day. The source also said of the rumoured nuptials, “Kylie wanted a really low-key wedding once she realised Paul was ‘The One’. But now she’s back in Melbourne, plans are snowballing a bit. She’s totally caught up in the moment and thrilled to be home. Paul is determined to give her the wedding of her dreams, whether it’s intimate and just family or the who’s who of Australian society.”
In an interview last year, Kylie was asked if it would be dramatic to say that Paul was her “forever” relationship. The songstress replied, “Oh no, that’s not dramatic! I think that’s hopeful. Being realistic, we can only take each day as it comes. I’ve found someone who… we really have a great connection and a great time together. Life presents challenges and if you can get through those with someone who is understanding, then that’s brilliant.” n
