Some people might think of weddings as intimate, private affairs… but not Katie Price. After all, with three weddings and six vow renewals behind her, she’s not exactly new to the great institution of marriage – or saying “I do” in front of the cameras. In fact, she’d probably say that a camera crew are as vital to proceedings as the registrar or groom. However, being the savvy businesswoman that she is, she’s not prepared to put on a gigantic pink princess gown or a beach mini dress for free this time. Instead, we’re told, she’s planning to stream her special day on a pay-per-view platform, meaning fans will have to subscribe if they want to see her and “soulmate” Carl Woods make it official.
“Katie is looking at a number of streaming platforms with pay walls, plus sites like Onlyfans and Patreon, as she thinks this could be an event that everyone would pay to tune in for,” says an insider close to the mum of five – who’s been dropping some less-than-subtle hints that she’s ready to become Mrs Woods ever since she and Carl coupled up last June. “Her family and friends are worried she’s going to turn it into a big circus, and they would prefer her to do something more low-key, as Carl has been such a good influence on her. But Katie has said she desperately needs the cash [she’s been working hard to earn back her fortune since being declared bankrupt in December 2019], and she’s been joking that watching her get married for the fourth time will be like paying to watch the boxing or a big sporting event. She’s promised it will be full of glamour and drama, and well worth paying for.”
Meanwhile, it’s not just an, ahem, Pricey wedding that’s got Katie, 42, counting the pennies. As heat has told you, she and Carl, 32, have made it very clear that they’re planning to add to her brood – with Carl rather conspicuously being pictured holding a pregnancy test by paps last week. They’ve also spoken about adoption again, after Katie said in 2019 that she wanted to adopt a Nigerian orphan.
Now we’re told that, with babies and wedding bells on the brain, it only makes sense for Katie to cash in where she can. “Katie’s decided she has to have another baby somehow,” says our source. “She wants to make sure they have everything in place financially to make that happen. Carl is happy enough going alone with her plans – she likes to build things up and has an attitude of ‘go hard or go home’ with everything she does.”
