Britney’s plans for a new life in Hawaii

She’s thinking about her future freedom

- KATIE HOLLOWAY

Things seem to be changing for Britney Spears, and her fans are hoping it won’t be long before she’s back in control of her own life. Recent adjustments to her conservatorship are said to have made the singer more confident of gaining her freedom, and a source close to the 39 year old tells us the first thing she’s planning to do is to jump on a plane and get away.

“All she wants to do is retreat to some far-flung paradise for a year or two with Sam [Asghari, her boyfriend of four years],” a source says. “She needs to get away from this virtual prison she’s been in for most of her adult life. She’s looking at places like Hawaii, which aren’t too fast-paced and offer seclusion while she reinvents herself.”

The most recent update regarding Britney’s situation came last month, when a judge ruled that her father Jamie Spears must share power over his daughter’s affairs with a private financial company. This bolstered the hopes of fans, who want to see Britney free of her 13-year conservatorship, and it seems Britney herself is looking forward to the future. “Britney is feeling more optimistic about things now than she has since this whole ordeal started,” the insider says. “At the beginning of the conservatorship, she was accepting of the fact her life had spiralled out of control and she needed rules to get her back on track. But that was a long time ago now. The recent TV documentary, along with the Free Britney movement, has really boosted her hopes for the future. She feels that with Sam by her side, there’s light at the end of the tunnel and she’s got a good shot of getting her life back.”

Fans of Britney will know the singer loves to travel, and often shares holiday snaps with fans. We’re told that, if permitted, the mum of two would love to be able to travel the world with Sam and have her sons Sean, 15, and Jayden, 14 – who mostly live with their father – visiting whenever possible. “She’d love to go island-hopping in the Pacific or Caribbean, but also somewhere further afield, such as Indonesia or the Far East,” our source says. “Her ultimate dream is to move away with Sam and start a brand-new life somewhere remote like Hawaii – a destination she’s always loved visiting.”

The insider continues, “It’s keeping them both distracted, and Sam’s told her he’s in this for the long haul.” n
