ANGE’S ADOPTING AGAIN
She refuses to be an empty nester
She’s currently locked in the biggest custody battle in Hollywood – and has been accused of dragging her heels to get things sorted. But according to insiders, Angelina Jolie has a new and very important motive for settling things with her ex-husband Brad Pitt: she’s desperate to adopt again. Apparently, the star is already feeling pangs of empty nest syndrome as her brood gets older, and having adopted three of her six children, she’s keen to give another underprivileged child (or two) the chance at a happy life.
“This is something Ange always intended to do, but it needed to be put on hold during this ugly business with Brad,” says an insider close to the actress, who’s been battling Brad for full custody of their children since they split in 2016. “She has a lot of connections with orphanages around the world – right now, she’s looking at a range of options including the Middle East and South America.”
With six children – Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – it’s fair to say that Angelina’s used to a pretty busy household. But now that Maddox is at university in South Korea, we’re told she’s more aware than ever that time is ticking on having them all at home. And luckily for all involved, this is giving her extra impetus to settle things with Brad and move on for good. “She’s relatively optimistic that the end is in sight,” we’re told. “This will enable her to move ahead and bring some new joy into her and the kids’ lives.” n
