Backlash as Katie Price turns Princess into her mini-me
No, but seriously
We can’t say we were surprised to hear Tom Cruise is heading to space. Following Covid-related delays and setbacks filming the latest in the Mission: Impossible series, we’re told the adventurous actor is hoping his next project will be out of this world.
“Tom has no intention of slowing down following the postponement of his latest movies,” a source tells heat. “Instead, he’s going full steam ahead with plans to shoot a movie in outer space. He’s pretty crushed about these delays, but figures the best he can do is look ahead and plan for the future.”
In fact, the 58 year old has reportedly teamed up with entrepreneur Elon Musk for this unusual project as part of a partnership between Elon Musk’s Space X and NASA. NASA confirmed the news last week in a tweet, which read, “NASA is excited to work with Tom Cruise on a film aboard the space station! We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make NASA ambitious plans a reality.”
And we’re told that Tom’s involvement with the controversial Scientology religion has bolstered his interest in space exploration, too. “Space has fascinated him all his life, especially since he became a Scientologist. He’s willing to spend a ton of his own money, plus look for sponsorship from the church, to make these movies happen. He’s excited to lead a whole new era in working space travel, and is confident this will also boost his chances of landing that elusive Oscar he’s always craved.” n
