As she gets ‘re-engaged’ to Rami
Seven years after breaking off their first engagement, Gemma Collins has said “yes” to Rami Hawash again, and this time she’s planning on making it up the aisle. And after 2021 was a year of health for The GC – losing more than 3st with a gruelling fitness regime – we’re told she’s setting goals for her big day already.
“Gemma’s friends are saying that now she’s engaged to Rami, she’s feeling more determined than ever before to achieve her ultimate goal of fitting into a size 8 wedding dress, and is doing everything she can to achieve it,” an insider tells heat.
The 40 year old confirmed her engagement to businessman Rami in a recent interview, admitting the couple hadn’t officially announced it due to Rami’s ongoing divorce.
“We can’t really come out and say anything yet because Ram was married before and his paperwork has not come through, so until that’s officially signed, we’ve not said anything,” she revealed. “They’ve not been together for two years. I know her, she’s got a partner, she’s as good as gold. There’s a child involved, he’s only three, obviously I love him to death. But until that paperwork’s signed, I can’t come out.”
But whether we’ve had the official engagement post on Instagram or not, it hasn’t stopped Gemma’s determination to continue with her health and fitness journey.
“Whether it’s boot camp or asking Jonathan Cheban [her friend from Celeb BB] to get Kim Kardashian’s trainer over to the UK – Gemma is focused on an epic transformation,” our insider shares. “She’s doing it all naturally and with hard work – no gastric band for her – as she feels motivated by her love for Rami and having her big day that she’ll remember forever.”
However, we’re told the TV star’s friends are trying to discourage her from obsessing about it. “They all feel she looks great as she is. Rami loves her whatever size she is, and there’s no need for her to be doing anything drastic.”
One person who may not be getting an invitation to the big day is Gem’s ex, James “Arg” Argent, who was recently pictured at a darts championship holding a sign that read, “GC, call off the engagement!” ■
