Kim warns Kris: ‘Leave Pete alone’

Not going to lie, we’ve been obsessed with Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson from the moment they kissed on Saturday Night Live. And while their relationship seems to be progressing quickly, it seems we’re not the only ones with a keen eye on the pair. Kim’s mum Kris Jenner is delighted with her daughter’s new romance, which comes hot on the heels of eldest daughter Kourtney getting engaged to drummer Travis Barker.
“Kris is openly frothing at the mouth while rolling out the red carpet for Pete Davidson, but she’s rubbing up Kim the wrong way with her intense approach,” an insider tells heat. “Kris is bulldozing in typical style and not letting Kim plan this relationship for herself. She sees Pete and Travis as great new additions to the Karjenner clan, who will be ratings and brand gold and a huge upgrade on both Kanye [West] and Scott [Disick] together.”
Kim and Pete, 28, jetted off on a romantic holiday to the Bahamas last week after the pair reportedly spent Christmas apart. But it seems he’s going to become a lot more involved in Kardashian family life soon, if Kris, 66, has anything to do with it.
“Kris was practically doing cartwheels when Pete started dating Kim,” our source shares. “She knows he’s going to be a great addition to the family and is raving on and on about how exciting it is that he opens the door to SNL, as well as that elusive hipster scene in New York and a whole new fan base on both coasts. Right from the start she was pushing Kim to go for it and get Pete on board for their new show as quickly as possible. From Pete’s point of view, it’s cool and a real fun ride – it boosts his profile and he figures this is all just part of his indoctrination into the family. Kris has added him to the family’s group text chats, which is a huge honour, plus he’s got the keys to Kim’s Rolls and a seat at the table whenever he wants to hang with the family at weekends in Calabasas or Palm Springs.”
But as a 41-year-old mother with four kids, it seems Kim doesn’t really want her mum interfering with her new relationship.
‘Kim is feeling smothered by Kris’ obsession’
Our source continues, “Kris seems oblivious to Kim’s concerns – for her it’s all great drama – but Kim is feeling smothered and feels overwhelmed by Kris’ obsession with Pete. And while Kris is happy with her partner Corey, it wouldn’t surprise Kim if she goes for someone like Pete if things end with him.” ■
