It’s revealed he has fathered a third child
In a wearily familiar scenario, last week Tristan Thompson was forced to publicly apologise to Khloé Kardashian – this time after a paternity test proved he had fathered another child (with model Maralee Nichols) while he was with Khloé earlier last year. Admitting the news on his Instagram, Tristan, 30, wrote a grovelling apolog y to his on/off fiancée and mother of their three-year-old daughter, True.
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” he wrote. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”
The father of three has been caught out as a cheat on multiple occasions since he started dating Khloé in 2016. And an insider close to Khloé, 37, tells heat that she’s been floored by the latest revelation.
“Khloé has an incredibly forgiving nature, but this apology is all way too little, too late, as far as she’s concerned. She’s angry, embarrassed, and tired of having her name dragged through the mud because of Tristan’s unforgivable behaviour. At the same time, she’s saddened and frustrated, too, since a big part of her still really loves Tristan and always will. If he hadn’t been busted, there’s zero doubt in her mind that they’d still be engaged right now and well on their way to being parents again. She’s totally floored and struggling to process the scale of what he’s done and, of course, wondering what else he’s got up to all these years behind her back.”
And Khloé already seems to have an ex knocking at her door, as former husband Lamar Odom weighed in on the news, commenting, “I truly wish nothing but the best for her and I’m hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends. She is a good person and deserves the world.” ■
