Posh begs Romeo: ‘DON’T LET HER GO THIS TIME’

She’s manifesting another Beckham wedding

-

Just weeks after telling the world they had split, Romeo Beckham and Mia Regan sparked compelling reconciliation rumours when they were pictured holding hands while out in west London (above right). And while we are yet to receive the official gen-z confirmation (aka an Insta or Tiktok post), a source has revealed mum Victoria is over the moon about the reunion.

As heat reported, Vic was devastated about the break-up. Now, a source close to the fashion designer says she’s urging her 21-year-old son to hold onto Mia – and has high hopes marriage is on the cards. “Vic feels Mia is good for Romeo and is a stabilising influence,” we’re told. “But she has told him that Mia won’t keep coming back and they really need to put effort into the relationship to make it work. She feels it’s Romeo who has the doubts, but she’s said he’s not going to get better than Mia and has urged him to settle down. Vic is excited that Mia is a part of Brand Beckham again and is looking forward to her fully integrating herself into the family.”

When Romeo and Mia, both 21, announced they were parting ways after five years at the end of February, both emphasised the love and respect between them. Brentford footballer Romeo concluded his statement with, “[We] still hold a strong friendship and always will”, while model Mia reflected on their journey, writing, “We have grown up with each other since we were 16! Love takes different forms and paths as you mature.”

After first getting together in 2019, the couple reportedly split in July 2022 after struggling being long distance. At the time, Romeo was based in Miami, where he was playing for his dad David’s team, while Mia was focused on her modelling and influencing. But the break-up was short-lived, and the couple moved in together in south London last year.

Mia has built strong ties with the Beckhams, especially Victoria – with the model once posing on the beach with the Spice Girl’s nickname written on her bum. Mia also gave Vogue and insight into their close relationship, saying of Victoria, “Even just talking with her about what I’m wearing, what nails and make-up I’m going to go for, it’s nice to have that figure.” The women collaborated on a denim range for Victoria’s brand back in October 2022 and have publicly supported one another on their individual ventures.

Considering that Vic’s relationship with eldest son Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz was once dogged by rumours of a feud sparked by a dispute over her wedding dress, we’re told that it’s made her and husband David, 48 – who are also parents to Cruz, 19, and 12-year-old Harper – doubly excited about the prospect of Romeo tying the knot.

“Vic and David are

‘They’re preparing for a wedding’

preparing themselves for another big Beckham wedding, which will be a lot different to Brooklyn’s,” we’re told. “She would love Mia to officially become part of the family and she knows that she will be able to play a much bigger part in their big day, much more than she did in Brooklyn and Nicola’s. She’s known Mia since she was about 15 and they’re really close. When Nicola first came into the family, she was quite a bit older and had her own career, as well as being the daughter of a billionaire. Vic knows Mia would involve her in the wedding, as would Mia’s mum. David and Vic get on well with Mia’s parents and they’re not intimidated by them at all.”

But, we’re told, David is also telling Vic not to get too ahead of herself. We’re told, “He’s told her not to put pressure on Romeo to propose – and Vic knows it has to be done in his own time. But she feels there’s a reason they keep getting back together and that they will take the next step soon.” ■
