Social group looking for new recruits

-

NEW recruits are welcome at the Exeter branch of the Royal Navy Corps and Royal Corps of transport association that takes

in South and mid Devon.

We are in our 72nd year for the Exeter Branch – formed in 1946. As our name suggests, our membership is from former members of the Royal Army Service Corps and Corps of transport, however, our membership is now open to former (and serving) members of any Royal Navy, Army or RAF unit as well as civilian members with no military service.

We are a lively and friendly group of people, who enjoy short meetings followed by a scrumptious tea. We do not make any charge or subscriptions, which includes our teas and annual buffet lunch.

Meetings are held fortnightly

with a lunch at local restaurants /pubs or hotels. These lunches are payable, as are low cost weekends held in places such as Bournemouth, Newquay etc.

We attend the Exeter Armed Forces day and Remembrance Sunday, celebrating the Centenary since the Army Service Corps was made Royal. There are also other events.

Our next meeting is on Tuesday, November 9, at 2pm in the Royal British Legion Hall, Legion Way, Alphington, Exeter. Call in or contact our president, Graham Martin on 01395 274485.

A great welcome awaits you!
