Putting successes in the spotlight
THE RESULTS from the ladies section of Ullesthorpe Golf Club’s winter and April competitions have been announced following a recent prize-giving.
In the Grandmothers’ Competition 1st was Helen Waterhouse 176 pts, 2nd Kath Lea 164 pts, 3rd Elaine Watkins 158 pts.
For the Eclectic, overall winner was Janet Hartley Byng with 60.375 nett, silver division and 2nd Lynne Jones 62.125 nett, bronze division 1st Lisa Morris 62.25 nett, bronze division 2nd Carole Sargent with 67 nett.
The Rollason 1st Janet Hartley Byng on 177 pts, 2nd Sally Sparrow 160 pts.
For the April Medal and Drive In it was 1st Cirhan Truswell 77 nett, 2nd Lynne Jones 78 nett, 3rd Avis Edge 78 nett. Best gross was Sally Sparrow nett 94.
The April Midweek Medal winner was Alison Horak with 77 nett.
In the 3 Club Competition, 1st Frances Farren 29 pts, 2nd Kath Lea 28 pts, 3rd Helen Waterhouse 27 pts.
The Nine Hole Qualifier was won by Sally Sparrow on 15 pts.
The Junior Benefit was also won by Sally Sparrow with 31 pts.
P J Woolley Trophy (Bogey Competition) saw 1st Lorraine Miller plus 6 pts, 2nd Kath Lea plus 3 pts, 3rd Lauren Day on minus 2 pts.
The Hilary Cooper Rosebowl - Mixed was won by Lynne Jones and Rick Hull 67, 2nd Julie and Mark Carter 71.8 nett, 3rd Sally Sparrow and Matt Reeves 72.2 nett. The best gross was Alison and Kevin Horak with 84 nett.
